2 week menu

Honestly, I've been in a cooking slump lately, mostly because of my broken dishwasher :( ....but, I sat down tonight and decided it was time to get back into my old habits and routines. I sat down and wrote out my beloved, trusty menu plan!! I like sit down at the end of each month and write out 4 lists:
1. Monthly Menu
2. grocery list for the first 2 weeks
3. grocery list for week 3 and 4
4.any weekly produce purchases

This helps me in a few different ways. I am going to the grocery store once a week (for produce) and then only every 2 weeks for all the other stuff. I spend less money, and I buy less junk food. I'm much less stressed, and even though some of my meals take long to prep/cook, I actually spend less time in the kitchen (no scratching of head, whilst standing in front of the pantry).
The food that I make is (mostly) preservative free. I don't buy the cream o' something cans anymore...I try to make everything from scratch. It tastes better, is healthier, and it's much cheaper!!

In my cooking I'm all about; improving my skills, involving my kids, saving money, and having fun!

ok...so without further ado...click here

I have had many requests for my menu plans, so here it is. If you want any of the recipes or my shopping list just comment and I will get them posted asap!!
(this is only a 2 week plan, and since 3 of my kids are going to be in school I didn't plan lunches for all those days).

My heart!

May 29th 2012....my heart was stollen (the rest of it!) by the sweetest, most handsome, amazing little boy in the world! I thought having a boy after 3 girls would be wierd, and it did take some getting used to, but I instantly loved this cutie and so will you....just look!!

A baby story!! (pt. 1)

WOAH mama!!!
We found out we were expecting our 4th baby in October of 2011. Naturally I prepared myself to welcome another baby girl, but January 3rd 2012 we recieved what was, to us, the shock of a lifetime!! We would add a BOY to our crazy house full of girls (and Kevan!)! Here's the proof:

Big Sky Champians!

The Girls and I never missed a home game this year..We love to go support Kevan and his team, and they were really good this year! I'm always so proud of my handsome hubby for all the hard work he puts in to this team and how much they value him!....I digress....The girls favorite thing to do is run around on the court after the games....Here are my litlle cuties...

My little helpers!

One of the great things about Zariah being in preschool was getting to spend time with Maleah and Anoni. Zariah is always a great helper, but I don't always get to see that side of the other two because, let's face it, 3 kids in a (very)small kitchen is WAY to much!! Yes, just one of them being preoccupied makes a difference! Here are my sweet girls hard at work making a "Thank you!" Cheesecake for my sweet friend who took great care of me while in my morning sickness phase!

Zariah!

It's hard to believe that Zariah is already 5 years old. I know it's said all the time, but it really does seem like yesterday I held her in my arms for the first time. She has brought so much joy into my life and I am the most blessed person in the world to be able to call her mine. Everyday I learn from her, and am amazed be her spirit and her brilliance. Everyone that meets her knows she is a very special girl.

Here are a few things that Zariah has done this year: Before the year started she was already writing her name, Mom, Dad, Maleah, and Anoni, now she is reading most words and can write anything! She started preschool in September and her teachers say she is more like a teachers assistant than a student. She can write the names of all the kids in her class, and read some of the more simple books to her classmates. We are so proud of our Zariah!!
